Part modules are collections of unique characteristics that influence the behavior and functions of parts. These modules are not present physically but exist in individual parts' data and are represented in-game as capabilities of parts. They can influence resource consumption/generation, thrust, Science, and more.

List of part modules

The following is a list of each part module present in the game.

  • Command Module
  • Reaction Wheel
  • Data Transmitter
  • Science Experiment
  • RCS Thruster
  • Engine
  • Engine Gimbal
  • Generator
  • Resource Intake
  • Decouple
  • Docking Port
  • Wheel
  • Heat Shield
  • Solar Panel
  • Converter
  • Parachute
  • Light

All parts also include a default "Statistics" module which defines certain intrinsic properties of a part:

  • Mass
  • Max Temp
  • Impact Tolerance
  • Research Report Storage Capability
  • Resource Capacity

Example
