T-1 "Dart" is an aerospike sustainer methalox engine. It is unlocked from Jumbo Jets in Tier 3 of the Tech Tree. It features a distinctive "spike" plug nozzle design. Similar to the S3 KS-25 "Vector", but unlike most engines, its performance is nearly the same in vacuum as it is in atmosphere. It is also distinct among engines unlocked in aerodynamics-focused research nodes in that it runs on methalox rather than methane and air. | T-1 "Dart" is an aerospike sustainer methalox engine. The well-rounded performance is applicable to SSTO vessels or multi-purpose landers, especially for atmospheric bodies.
The T-1 "Dart" is C7's only methalox engine, and is rather unique in its design. It has a decent amount of thrust and is reasonably efficient both in and out of an atmosphere, making it a very well-rounded engine. It also has a very short profile, which works well for landers.
